	orks\, such as social networks\, are primarily formed\nthrough local intera
	ctions between agents. Additionally\, in contrast\nwith common network mode
	ls\, social and biological networks exhibit\na high degree of clustering. H
	ere we construct a class of network\ngrowth models based on local interacti
	ons on a metric space\, capable\nof producing arbitrary degree distribution
	s as well as a naturally\nhigh degree of clustering akin to biological netw
	orks.  As a specific\nexample\, we study the case of random-walking agents\
	, though most results\nhold for any linear stochastic dynamics.  Agents for
	m bonds when they\nmeet at designated locations we refer to as ``rendezvous
	 points.''\nThe spatial distribution of the rendezvous points determines ke
	y characteristics\nof the network such as the degree distribution. For any 
	arbitrary\n(monotonic) degree distribution\, we are able to analytically so
	lve\nfor the required rendezvous point distribution.
