	stract:\nWe study the nonequilibrium properties of 1-D interacting systems.
	 For \nthe 1-D Lieb Liniger gas we introduce a new version of the Yudson \n
	representation applicable to finite size systems. We provide a formalism \n
	to compute various correlation functions for highly nonequilibrium \ninitia
	l states. In the strong coupling regime we are able to find \nexplicit expr
	essions for the density\, density-density and related \ncorrelation functio
	ns. We are able to show that for initial sates with \nsmooth correlations t
	he gas equilibrates at long times.  For nearly \ntranslationaly invariant s
	tates the gas equilibrates to the GGE. We show \nthat for other integrable 
	models\, ones with bound states\, the GGE fails. \nWe also apply our result
	s on equilibration and the GGE to studying \ninitial states with small Yang
	-Yang entropies in the Tonks Girardeau \nregime. We show that at long time 
	such states have universal power law \ndensity-density correlations.
