SUMMARY:Precision Flavor Physics from Lattice QCD
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Junko Shigemitsu\, Ohio State\n\nPart of the HET Semi
nar Series.\n\nAbstract:\nPrecision Flavor Physics is playing an important
role in\nthe search for New Physics that would take particle physics \nbeyo
nd the current highly successful Standard Model (SM).\nExperimentalists are
pushing for higher and higher\nprecision and theorists are working hard to
improve\nthe accuracy of SM predictions so that any deviations from\nthe S
M can be unambiguously identified.\nThis talk will review some recent work
by lattice gauge theorists\naimed at providing experimentalists and phenome
nologists with the\ncrucial nonperturbative QCD inputs necessary for testin
g the SM\nand thereby looking for New Physics.
