	\n\nAbstract:\nHolographic duality maps the dynamics of certain strongly co
	rrelated quantum theories onto classical gravitational dynamics in one high
	er dimension.  Therefore\, many interesting and challenging problems in qua
	ntum field theory are accessible via simulations of classical general relat
	ivity in so called "holographic spacetimes."  I will describe recent progre
	ss made in applying lessons from numerical relativity within the context of
	 astrophysics to holographic spacetimes and showcase results for topics inc
	luding quark-gluon plasma thermalization and superfluid turbulence.
