	ET Seminar Series.\n\nAbstract:  In this talk\, I will describe a simple\, 
	yet complete theory\nof dark matter called "Effective WIMPs."  The utility 
	of these models\nis a straightforward understanding of the relevant physics
	 and\nsensitivity in dark matter searches at colliders\, direct and indirec
	t\ndetection experiments.  In these theories\, the dark matter couples to\n
	Standard Model fermions through partner particles to the Standard\nModel fe
	rmions and I will discuss the cases of coupling to partners of\nquarks and 
	charged leptons.
