SUMMARY:Higgs Precision Measurements
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Markus Klute\, MIT\nHosted by: Tulika Bose\n\nPart of
the HEE Seminar Series.\n\nAbstract:\nThe observation of the Higgs boson b
y the ATLAS and CMS experiments\nis a triumph of the standard model. Howeve
r\, the SM is not able to\nexplain dark matter\, the matter-antimatter asym
metry\, or neutrino\nmasses. The absence of signals for physics beyond the
SM up to at\nleast 1 TeV makes the precise measurement of Higgs boson prope
rties a\nkey challenge of the field in the coming decades.\n\nFirst measure
ments of the Higgs boson properties are compatible with\nthose of the long
sought standard-model Higgs boson. I will summarize\nthe findings of the LH
C experiments after the first three years of\noperation.\n\nIn response to
the discovery of the Higgs boson\, a number of machine\nconcepts have been
proposed to enable detailed study of the\nproperties. I will discuss the po
tential of Higgs precision\nmeasurements at future hadron and lepton collid
	ers.
