	itioners with\nresearch-based advice.\nI will discuss the work of the Board
	 with a primary focus on two\nrecent studies\, including "A Framework for K
	-12 Science Education"\nand "Discipline Based Education Research"\, and the
	 messages\nthese have for college level science instruction as well as for\
	nk-12 teacher preparation and teaching.
