SUMMARY:Gauging the Way to MFV
DESCRIPTION:Featuring Daniel Stolarski\, University of Maryland\n\nPart of
the HET Seminar Series.\n\nAbstract:\nI present a UV complete model of R-pa
rity violating (RPV)\nsupersymmetry with a gauged flavor symmetry which app
roximately\nrealizes holomorphic Minimal Flavor Violation (MFV). Previous w
ork has\nshown that imposing MFV as an ansatz easily evades direct constrai
nts\nand has\ninteresting collider phenomenology. The question of whether t
here\nexists a model which predicts the MFV correlation between Yukawa\ncou
	plings\, RPV couplings\, and SUSY breaking\, was until now\,\nunanswered. I
will present a model which\, in a particular limit\,\nrealizes exact MFV.
I then compute corrections away from MFV and show\nthat they are under theo
retical control. There is a large region of\nviable parameter space\, and t
here are new states in addition to those\nof the MSSM which can be below a
TeV. This work is described in\narXiv:1212.4860.
