Semiclassical Phase Space Methods to Probe the MBL Transition

Simulation of interacting quantum systems is important in order to understand questions of thermalization, many-body localization, and propagation of quantum information, as well as reproducing the results of experiments. However, most methods are limited to small system sizes or low-dimensional systems. In this talk I present work done on phase space methods, which map fully quantum dynamics to classical dynamics in an extended phase space. I will discuss the validity of the model, some findings of MBL in 1d spin chains, and conclude with future prospects and goals for the rest of my PhD.
