	ut this course:\nThe objective of this short course is to educate scientist
	s and engineers about key concepts in clinical cancer care\, including curr
	ent controversies and areas of need. &nbsp;The ultimate goal of the course 
	is to provide a basis of knowledge to inspire scientists and engineers to w
	ork together with cancer researchers and clinicians to advance our understa
	nding of cancer and to develop diagnostic\, therapeutic and imaging tools. 
	No background in cancer biology is assumed. The course is appropriate for f
	aculty members in physics\, chemistry\, biomedical and engineering departme
	nts\, as well as graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.&nbsp;\nPlease
	 join us again this year even if you came in 2011\, for our new speakers an
	d topics!\nDay 1 will introduce basic concepts and current approaches to ca
	ncer care\, including: surgical oncology\, chemotherapy and biologics\, and
	 radiation oncology.\nDay 2 will cover specific tumor types\, including bre
	ast cancer\, gynecologic and urologic malignancies\, esophageal cancer\, sk
	in cancer\, and others\, focusing on today&rsquo;s major challenges and opp
	ortunities.\nRegistration:\nAttendance at the workshop is free\, but regist
	ration is required.&nbsp; Registration includes a continental breakfast and
	 lunch both days of the workshop and drinks and hors d'oeuvres at the poste
