A critical part of Physics education for graduate students and many undergraduates is participation in a research project. Research in a large number of fields is being carried out in the Physics Department at Boston University. Areas of activity include experimental and theoretical astrophysics, biophysics, high-energy and medium-energy particle physics, low-temperature physics, surface physics, polymer physics, condensed matter physics, and the philosophical and historical foundations of physics. Click on an underlined item to see more about that field of research.
