Discovering new physics at the Large Hadron Collider

On July 4th 2012, the ATLAS and CMS experiments announced the discovery of a new particle that appears to closely resemble the long sought after Higgs boson. This talk will review the latest results from the LHC experiments including searches for the Higgs and those for more exotic particles.
