Shopping list for e/AdLab Interns

You MUST have the items below to build your function generator well before the in-person scope tutorial!

1) Arduino “complete” kit, ~$54 (not the “standard” kit):

2) MCP4921 Digital-Analog Converter (DAC) You may want to purchase more than 3 in case you burn one out, which is too easy), $1.97 per chip. This usually takes some time for shipping from Digikey, so be sure to order it early:

3) TWO(2) BNC cables, with grabbers on one end and BNC MALE on the other end — examples are below, or you can obtain them from other vendors. DON’T BUY cables with ALLIGATOR CLIPS at the ends, only grabbers.

5) Tinkercad simulation link for analog labs–register (free) for your account at: https://www.tinkercad.com/

6) Physics sensor apps (free) for your cell phone:

  • a) Phyphox
  • b) Physics toolbox sensor suite
  • c) Sensor Kinetic
